February, 2023

Wow! It has been so long since I have reached out to you all to let you know what is happening with Perfectly Imperfect Yoga! There is SO MUCH to tell you.

First, I am grateful to have you all on this journey with me. Thank you so much for being a part of the Perfectly Imperfect Yoga community!

I haven’t been very active with newsletters or blogs lately as I am working really hard to finish up all of my certifications.

What Have I Been Up To?

I am very close to completing the 500-hour Master Yoga Program, HEY (Healing Emphasis Yoga) with Inner Vision Yoga, that I started in April, 2020. Of course, I will let you all know when I have the certificate in my hands…hopefully in the next couple of months. I have learned so much from this program that I in turn have been sharing with all of you in my classes.

Concurrently, since the Spring of last year, I have been in a certificate program at Scottsdale Community College to become a Certified Yoga Therapist (I will write a blog in the future explaining what that is and how it differs from being a yoga teacher). I am now in my 3rd semester and will be finishing the certificate next year in the Spring. It has been a wonderful experience to be back on a college campus.

I DO still have many classes that I teach regularly. See the bottom of the newsletter for the list of current classes.

I ALSO have several special events coming up to share with you.

Special Events

The wonderful professionals that I have partnered with in Wellness Ambassadors will be sharing their expertise in legal matters, insurance, mental health and hypnotherapy/mediation, along with me sharing yoga for grief, in a virtual Wellness Event on February 27, 2023. All topics will relate to preparing for loss and managing grief. You can watch live or see the replay on our Facebook page. Free! Register Here or Watch the Replay Here

I have developed a course based on my experience with grief and the wonderfully healing therapies I have learned in the HEY program. I am hoping to run a class in March and there will be others in the future. If you have an interest, send me a note and we can work to make sure you can join one of the sessions. Register Here

I am offering an IN PERSON workshop at Forever Yoga. Learn skills to release tension and stress in the moment, learn how easy meditation can be and participate in a 1-hour restorative yoga practice. Leave feeling refreshed and relaxed, with some tools to stay that way. Register here Navigate to March 5th, 2023 on the calendar and sign up!

I will be speaking at the SFS Community Mental Health Fair on March 4, 2023!

I am so grateful to be able to share the healing powers of yoga with so many people at these events.
